HI, I’M NATE.

I have been known to write, edit, and publish books of a fantastical-future nature, do a little graphical design here and there, and a try a bit of light demolition/renovation around the house.

I was a full-time stay-at-home parent for 11 years.

Other than writing about made-up people in made-up worlds, I'm into tea, semi-extreme sports, plants, the ocean, graphic design, travel, books about travel, enjoyable marketing, Minecraft, Mario Kart, Zelda, old houses, religion, podcasts, history, how to make the world better, Formula One racing (as of 2021), epic adventure movies and tv shows, and long, deep, wide-ranging conversations with friends around a table or a fire.

I was born in Delaware, mostly grew up in Florida, and now live in Massachusetts in Florida in Maryland with my beautiful crazy wife, our two little boys and our latest addition, a baby little girl. Also two cats named Rocky and Gizmo. And a fish called Jevin.

I have lived overseas at various times in Haiti, Thailand, and New Zealand, and I’ve been lucky enough to travel to thirty-ish countries.

These days, I get to live the adventure of raising three kids and scratching out creative work whenever I can fit it in.
