A Thought On Bad Christianity

#36 | Three Minute Thoughts

My friend is beyond frustrated with Christianity.

I told him I thought he was focusing too much on people who call themselves Christians and not enough on the person the religion is named for.

I was thinking about the conversation later and came up with the following metaphor to try and prove my point:

If a friend of a friend came to your house with a cake and told you they followed a recipe by one of your favorite Youtube bakers (my friend likes to bake), and you tried the cake and it was the worst thing you ever put in your mouth, would you be more inclined to believe it was the Youtuber's fault for creating a horrible recipe, or the friend of a friend's fault for ruining a what was probably a good recipe?
